Room was clean, car park good. Nice location, close to Whitchurch village
Excellent location, behind the bar. The bedroom was clean
Very clean room, big bed, friendly staff.
It's good value. Modern hotel with efficient personnel.
Cannot find any fault!
The rooms are very nice
Breakfast room looked like a fast food restaurant
Good breakfast, good beds, very nice staff!
The rooms were great, but downstairs in the hotel there is a public swimming pool, a pub and a Starbucks, it was too loud and too hectic for me.
The room is very large, the bed comfortable.
The sockets are so far away from the mirror that the hair can only be styled blind. . The bathroom has yellow everywhere and was unfortunately not clean. A curtain at the shower is outdated and the sink was so low that I had to bend down.
Convenient location, the facilities are excellent with bar, resturant and fitness suite
From arrival to departure the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent as was the meal we had in the restaurant on Sunday evening, (only carvery available on a Sunday) The location was excellent for both access to Cardiff and to destinations west of Cardiff.Plenty of free parking.
There were two weddings in the hotel, one on Saturday, one on Sunday. These were not a problem except there was a very noisy disco on the Saturday which may have caused other guests to complain, however it finished at 11pm so didnt worry us.
Hotel was very nice, only thing that let it down was the breakfast, not enough staff avaiable to help, parts of the breakfast was not cooked. I would stat again but give breakfast a miss.
Very nice family room with plenty of room even with the sofa bed made up
The website we checked on said that children could swim up to seven o'clock but when we arrived we were told that was at weekends and during the week they had to be out by 5o'clock. I had two very disappointed children to console.also room not made up when we arrived as the reservation we made had not come through correctly to include children to the hotel but the staff were very prompt to correct the fault and sort the room out.
For a 70 year old visitor, travelling alone and physically limited to short walking distances, your facility was very good. However, it was made "Excellent" by the caring manner in which your front desk staff listened to and accomodated my request for a disabled parking spot (I am qualified in Ontario) and a room close to the elevator. They assigned me room 201 and I was most grateful....older folk need rapid access to bathrooms when they return from trips! Thank you, I'll be back someday.
If you good folks ,had a weakness it was on ""follow through to completion" by support staff E.G. although the a faulty tv remote was replaced they never actually checked to see if it worked ... it didn't, presumably the problem was the tv? Couldn't dial an outside line on arrival, had to get a message to a relative in uk to call my wife in Canada to let her know I had arrived safely. This was fixed the next day.
Lovely comfortable bed. Polite and attentive staff. The bar is buzzy and the restaurant tranquil.
Quite impersonal although efficient. Did not like having to go outside at 11.00 p.m due to fire alarm. the upgraded room smelt musty and the curtains and skirting boards needed a clean. Kept the window open throughout stay as the musty smell was an issue. The hotel room decor looks tired.Hate the coffee shop franchise in the foyer at the expense of comfy chairs to read the paper.Shortage of loo roll 1st night. Lack of complementary toiletries/tissues disappointing. Overall this hotel seems to be more concerned with business/ block bookings for events etc. than the individual customer.
Comfotable bar restaurant
Ther fact that the restaurant had closed early on a Sunday
A large hotel with a range of facilities and good parking, located not too far from the centre in a quiet area but near major roads.
